- If this is your first foray into astrophotography you might want to have a rethink on your scope choice. The 250pds has quite a long focal length which is far from ideal for a beginner. If you want a reflector the 130pds would be a better choice but my choice (and many others) would be a Skywatcher 80ED refractor.
