- More correctly, it's a specially designed versjon of the 200P for astrophotograph. It's also said to be easier to achive focuse with almost any DSLR connected to it, unlike the 200P, and also have a dual speed focuser, wich helps to get exact focuse faster while using a …
Skywatcher 200pds eq5 for astrophotography?
- When I first started in astrophotography I used a 200p on an eq5 and while it was sort of do-able, it was a struggle. If I had the ability to start again I would have definitely gone for a 130pds (not the standard 130p) on a HEQ5. It would have saved me alot of money. There is some very good advice given to you in this thread.

- However, I would not recommend the 200pds + EQ5 for doing imaging. The 200 mm scope is big and heavy, pretty much only suitable for visual observations or lunar and planetary photography on the EQ5 mount. If you want to do deep-space astrophotography with this mount, you should get a smaller and lighter scope.

Astrophotography Cameras - Whats The Best Choice for …
- https://astrobackyard.com/astrophotography-cameras/
- Choosing the Right Camera for the job. The type of camera you will use depends on what you intend to photograph. Because I mainly shoot deep-sky astronomical objects, a DSLR that I could attach to my telescope via a t-adapter was the logical choice. The DSLR also allows you to attach several different types of lenses to it for landscape astrophotography projects.
Using a 70-200 zoom lens for astrophoto: pros and cons
- https://www.dpreview.com/forums/thread/4498168
- Hi! I started a thread in the Sony forum asking for opinions on the new Tamron 70-180 f2.8 for mirrorless about astrophoto. I know it is a quite specific question for this particular lens but I would love having some first-hand opinions about it.
