If you’re looking at taking photographs of deep sky objects (aka “faint fuzzies”), you’ll probably find a 24mm lens isn’t long enough. However, if you’re looking to do wide-field imaging, it should do the trick. Using a Canon EF 24-105mm Lens for Astrophotography

    https://astrobackyard.com/canon-ef-24-105mm-astrophotography/
Using the Canon EF 24-105mm Lens for Astrophotography 24mm offers a unique field of view compared to a more traditional wide-angle shot of 18mm or wider. Wide-angle lenses such as the Rokinon 14mm F/2.8 are fantastic for capturing a large swath of the Milky Way, but a narrower field of view is better at isolating specific regions of the sky.

This lens has the best combination of the required features for an astrolens and for me as photographer. These features are: focal length, maximum aperture and price.

Yup, have some buddies that use the roki 24mm for shooting at night and it's pretty amazing. The milky way looks huge using a 24mm compared to the usual shots with an ultra wide. I still like using something real wide for shooting astro stuff but am considering picking up the 24mm 1.4

10-24 for astro photography? - Fuji X Lenses - Fuji X Forum

    https://www.fuji-x-forum.com/topic/4176-10-24-for-astro-photography/
The 10-24 is allright for astrophotography but has a bit of coma (stretched stars at the edge of frame) and the f/4.0 doesn't really help. If you want a great astrophotography lens for a low price try the Samyang 12mm f/2.0 (also known as Rokinon or Walimex) which has almost no coma, chromatic aberration and a brighter aperture.
