- Zeiss Ikon Nettar, Fomapan 400, Fomadon 1+50, 60ish seconds per exposure Had to use an ND4 filter on the Zeiss Ikon Nettar as the sun came out a bit at Dunure and with 200 ISO film, it was too much speed for the camera. - This is a Zeiss-Ikon Nettar 515 which is a medium format folding camera which takes sixteen 6cm x 4.5cm images on 120 roll film. This was the third model in the long-lived Nettar line and first went on sale in 1937. The Nettar line of cameras shared many design similarities with the higher spec Ikonta line, and was aimed at the amateur market.

- Zeiss Ikon, of course, needs no introduction. They made a lot of folding cameras – and the Nettars were the cheap ones, but shared bodies with the more expensive Ikontas. This camera is very basic, even for the early 1950s when it was made. It’s a viewfinder only zone focus camera – no rangefinder.
Zeiss Ikon Nettar, how was used? | Photrio.com …

- My Zeiss Ikon is about 10 years older than yours and uses 6x9 glass plates with an ISO of about 6. This translates to about half a second exposure in bright sunlight. I get good photos either by resting the camera on a solid object or by using a lightweight tripod. You will get noticeable flare with early lenses. Good luck! Simon
