- film photography can be quite a hassle and I think that many initially interested will go back to digital again. Price is a real big issue. Film has gotten even more expensive during the last year and you have the cost of film, developing and potentially scanning. Film will certainly survive somehow but how exactly is pretty uncertain.

- Film more gracefully handles being overexposed, but it has lower dynamic range than digital in the 35mm world these days. Has done for quite a few years. You theoretically have the leeway to do film-like things with the highlights because of the extra headroom digital offers, though it would take time and skill and few people do it.
