    3970 by 2647 is plenty 'nough resolution for a 36" by 24" canvas print. You do not have to worry about DPI or PPI - you don't even have to think about those things - that is the printer's job, not yours. When I order 36" by 24" prints, or any other size prints, for that matter, I don't even calculate what the DPI will be - why would I?
