    Hot Press Bright -- a great matt paper with good blacks. no texture/smooth surface Hahnemuhle Torchon - a very coarse texture that lends itself to certain pictures. matt paper Epson Premium Glossy -- cheap, good for proofing. Smooth flat surface so can be face mounted (in which case it looks stunning).

    Inkjet: I recommend a type called "presentation matte" from epson or hp, it has a good coating to make keep the ink bright, but it's not too thick like photo paper. The photographers I know use high end photo paper that looks like expensive drawing paper.
