Undersampling & Oversampling In Astrophotography

    https://www.highpointscientific.com/astronomy-hub/post/astro-photography-guides/undersampling-and-oversampling-in-astrophotography
Undersampling occurs when the pixels on your camera sensor are too large for a given scope’s focal length. This creates blocky, pixelated stars. This indicates that there are not enough pixels within the star to create a round star shape. Oversampling, on the other hand, occurs when the camera’s pixels are too small for a given scope’s ...

Enhancing Image Quality by Oversampling - Photography

In photography, oversampling would act on the sensor in front of the ADC by a pixel density that is considerably higher than the highest …

Oversampling: Worth it, and will it improve low-light?

    https://photo.stackexchange.com/questions/41764/oversampling-worth-it-and-will-it-improve-low-light
    1. Keep your photos in 10MP, you can always downsample them later, but you can't effectively upsample them again if you do decide you want to make a large print. Likewise leave your camera set it it's maximum resolution. Downsampling does indeed reduce per pixel noise, but then when comparing at the same output size, all you've effectively done ...

Undersampled? Oversampling an image? - Experienced …

Posted 28 November 2010 - 08:37 PM. Undersampling means too few pixels to capture the resolution the telescope provides. Oversampling means the light is spread over more pixels than needed to achieve full resolution thus increasing imaging time often by a large factor. Properly sampling means a pixel size 1/2 to 1/3 that of your typical seeing.

Oversampling Explained — Sage Audio

    https://www.sageaudio.com/blog/mastering/oversampling-explained.php
Oversampling is an increasingly common function in most plugins, which increases the sampling rate of the signal it’s processing by a fixed multiple like 2 or 4. So if the sampling rate of your session is 48kHz, a 2x oversampling …

Oversampled video meaning? - Digital Photography Review

    https://www.dpreview.com/forums/post/61548799
oversampling often means the camera is taking an entire sensor worth of data (6k) and reducing (scaling down) to 4k. - so the "over" means there's more data than just a straight 4k. but many other cameras (Canon, etc), and even the Sony's in some modes, will also only use the center/crop section of a sensor for a pixel-per-pixel 4k. Oversampled ...

What is oversampling? - Audio Hertz

    https://audiohertz.com/2020/01/06/what-is-oversampling/
Oversampling is when a plugin converts the audio to a higher sample rate for processing. Processing at the higher sample rate usually removes some of the negative artifacts associated with processing digital audio; mainly aliasing.

Oversampling and Undersampling. A technique for …

Oversampling — Duplicating samples from the minority class. Undersampling — Deleting samples from the majority class. In other words, Both oversampling and undersampling involve introducing a bias to select more samples from one class than from another, to compensate for an imbalance that is either already present in the data, or likely to ...

Oversampling - Wikipedia

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oversampling
In signal processing, oversampling is the process of sampling a signal at a sampling frequency significantly higher than the Nyquist rate.Theoretically, a bandwidth-limited signal can be perfectly reconstructed if sampled at the Nyquist rate or above it. The Nyquist rate is defined as twice the bandwidth of the signal. Oversampling is capable of improving resolution and signal-to-noise …
