- Sorry Simon. Sadly no photography allowed in the Valley of the Kings at all.. The ban came in middle of last year, got relaxed for around 2 weeks and then re-inforced. The story at the time was too many people were paying backsheesh to the tomb guardians so they could take a few photo's inside the tombs so Zahi Hawass announced "no photos at all"
