    remember to vary your shots, when I first started going to rallies I would have 150 photos almost exactly the same - just a different car taking the exact same corner. Move slightly, take zoomed out landscapes if there is dust, turn and capture the rear of the cars instead. Mix it up, it leads to a better variation, so more useable images.

    I was at the Yorkshire Rally a couple of weeks back and took a 70 -300mm and an 18 - 55mm. Managed to get some quite useable shots with them. Panning and using a slower shutter speed can, if you get it right, produce some nice shots. Most of mine were with faster shutter speeds to freeze the action, but I@m happy with them.
