- The NEX 6 and 7 are very similar. The 7 has more megapixels but few will notice the difference. The NEX 6 is faster and more secure in focus than the 7. Not such a big deal for wide angled lenses but it has a big impact with the Sony 55 lens. On the 7, that lens hunts quite a bit.
