- For those not familiar with RNAS it stands for Royal Naval Air Station. I remember all of these people fondly but sadly have lost touch with all of them. Ken Smith, I think, was in his late 30's when this was taken, probably not far off 40. He was a legendary figure in the branch; strict but fair and a wonderful instructor.
