- Rinehart was the official photographer for this exposition, and as such, photographed a large number of Native American delegates who took part in the exposition's U.S. Indian Congress. The photographs that Rinehart and Muhr shot during the Exposition depict the largest gathering of American Indian leaders at the turn of the twentieth century.

- Later Years. In 1899-1900, Rinehart photographed Native Americans at their reservations, capturing the images of those who were not at the Congress, as well as everyday life. More than 1,200 portraits were produced over this time. Some went on to be made into lithographs or paintings for sale. Rinehart died in 1928 in New Haven, Connecticut.
