At least a 2.8 and a shutter speed of no lower than 1/250 is what you need and even then you will get some blurring on fast action. If you have a 50 1.8/1.4 you can get some good shots from behind the plate. As for WB, use the auto setting because like blinking8s said, the WB is different all over the field.

While there are many different options and settings available on most cameras, the settings below will give a Nikon D-SLR user a good starting place for indoor sports shooting. • Set the exposure mode to Aperture Priority and set the f/stop to it's widest settings (i.e. f/2.8, f/4 or f/5.6)

You really need to be shooting at at least 1/1600th of a second and you’ll want your aperture to be wide open at 2.8 or whatever your lens’s widest aperture is. And yes there will be noise, depending on the lighting, but that’s just part of shooting sports at night.

10 TIPS FOR SHOOTING STREET PHOTOGRAPHY AT …

    https://formatt-hitechusa.com/blogs/learn/shooting-street-photography-at-night
Like any other form of street photography, shooting at night is all about finding good light and we have to be super-aware of where the good light is. And this is one of the most important factors in street shooting – second only to finding a decent subject. I usually try to identify a good light source first, then build a composition around that.
