- Slrgear says the 105 AF-D is the sharpest of the Nikon 105s, but I've been shooting my D800 with the old 105/2.8u AIS and it works fine. I really like my 55/2.8u AIS as well, and it is a real stunner on the D800. Lacking bellows it won't do 1:1 though. You might think about grabbing an old AIS micro if AF isn't important.
