    One thing I recommend for people considering astrophotography is downloading and installing a program called Stellarium. It's a planetarium program, but it is also has a telescope simulator in it. It will allow you to put in your telescope and under the 'Sensor' tab, the information you'll need for your D60.

    The full well potential of D600 is ~46%, but the pixel surface area only 22% larger, so there seems to be bigger difference in full well capacity. Dividing the same photon amount on certain area with 5,95µm and 4,88µm square pixels doesn’t equalize the difference.
