Is the Nikon D40x "enough" camera for a wedding? | Photo.net ...

- The D40x by itself isn't going to shoot the wedding--you are. So if you are good enough to shoot a wedding, it is too. The fact that it doesn't have some of the features of a "pro" camera should not hold you back from doing a good job. Those features certainly help a good photographer get great pictures, but don't, by themselves, create the pictures.
Nikon D4 Review for Wedding Photographers - Doerman

- Wedding photographers should always go out of their way to respect the events at a wedding and to allow the guests to enjoy the special moments. The D4’s regular shutter sound is fairly quiet; far more quiet than my D700, but the silent mode really takes it a step further for ceremonies and stalker/PI photography.

- I will be taking some photos at a friend's wedding. Mainly the ceremony. It will be outdoors in some very nice gardens and a little before sunset, around 6.15pm while sunset is at 7.20pm in that city. My camera is not very powerful, it is a Nikon D40 and I will be using either my Nikon fixed 50mm f1.8 or my 18-105mm (depending on the advise).
