    They do add to portraits, but at most weddings you are very rushed and may not get to use them anyway. A combination of dragging the shutter and a decent flash diffuser can make do, and be a lot quicker to use. The D40 is fine, but get another one to go with it. Perhaps the D40x this time.

    I will be taking some photos at a friend's wedding. Mainly the ceremony. It will be outdoors in some very nice gardens and a little before sunset, around 6.15pm while sunset is at 7.20pm in that city.
