Nikon D4 Review for Wedding Photographers - Doerman

- The D4’s regular shutter sound is fairly quiet; far more quiet than my D700, but the silent mode really takes it a step further for ceremonies and stalker/PI photography. Note that while you’re in Silent Mode the auto-focus beep is muted. Image Quality: Image quality is what you expect from a flagship product.

- Simply put, the Nikon D4’s autofocus is probably the fastest I’ve ever used on any camera, ever. I can focus even under moonlight, which is great for those night shots of the bride and groom. The speed and accuracy are both excellent, clearly a step …

- Simply put, the Nikon D4's autofocus is probably the fastest I've ever used on any camera, ever. I can focus even under moonlight, which is great for those night shots of the bride and groom. The speed and accuracy are both excellent, clearly a step up from the D700 and a massive step up from the D300.
Nikon D4 Review - Photography Life

- The thing is, for sports and wildlife needs, the D4 was still the best Nikon camera to get at the time. With its super fast shooting speed and a huge buffer, the D4 was the right tool for freezing those fast action moments. Had I kept my focus on wildlife photography, I would have probably either upgraded to the D4, or the latest generation D4s.
Nikon D4 Review - Ken Rockwell
- https://www.kenrockwell.com/nikon/d4.htm
- The Nikon D4 offers slightly higher frame rates, slightly higher resolution, an updated AF system that works better with teleconverters, Kelvin white balance settings in 10K increments, a virtual horizon that finally works properly with both roll and pitch, and much higher ISOs than the D3 and D3s, as well as video.
D4 or D810 for wedding - Digital Photography Review
- https://www.dpreview.com/forums/post/60452275
- I have choice to get used D4 for $1500 and D810 for $2000. I do only wedding photography nothing else. I already have d700,d610 and d750. With large file sizes i dont like d810. Except of all merits and demerits of both bodies, i was crisp results at not more than iso 2000. Your best choice for indoor weddings in between these two bodies.

- The weight 2.0 – I shoot with primes only, but with my heaviest prime, the 35mm 1.4 it felt a bit like the balance was all in the lens at first. It took a little getting used to- if you shoot with heavy zooms, forget attaching them to this body, it’ll feel like it’s going to rip off. So the weight is kind of a pro but also a con.

- Nikon have always been known for their ergonomic efforts when designing cameras (the D4 was designed by Giogetto Giugiaro, a famous Italian designer). The Nikon D750 was the epitome of that effort, even being a small camera, its grip was deep and marvellously effective. We asked for it, Nikon listened to us.
Nikon D5 Review - Best Wedding Photography Camera

- Nikon has kept the same battery as their previous Nikon D4s and it holds 3780 images per charge (according to Nikon). In fact, I’ve photographed well over 4000 images on one charge, which is fantastic! Touch Screen As for the touch screen, I really thought it would be just a gimmick, but I actually find it very addictive and useful.
