Nikon Z 24-70mm f/2.8 S Field Report - Photography Life

- Nikon is bragging about the exceptional corner to corner performance of the 24-70mm f/2.8 S. While I knew after a couple of shootings that this certainly holds for sharpness, I was really curious about the coma, aberration performance, and vignetting. For night photography, I used the lens 90% of the time wide open, and I n…

- I shot this one of the persids, with a Nikon 24-70 in a fairly light polluted sky. Full size photo available from Flikr https://flic.kr/p/xie4Gp. Lots of PP, lots of manual vignetting correction, lots of smearing and coma in the corners, but for a websized print it did alright. I would advise a wider prime personally.
