Celestron Nexstar with astrophotography. - posted in Celestron Computerized Telescopes: Hi guys. First off, it’s great to join the community, was hoping to tap into some of the experience you guys have on here on equipment. I’d like to put together a scope and dslr camera for some astrophotography as well as stand alone telescope use. I am looking at the Celestron …

Celestron NexStar 8SE Telescope Review

Yes, you can do astrophotography with the Celestron NexStar 8SE! The simplest way to get started is to use your existing smartphone, and hold it up to the eyepiece of the telescope. Using this method (eyepiece projection astrophotography), you can capture impressive images of the Moon, Jupiter, Saturn, and even Mars. Keeping the phone still ...

Celestron NexStar 6SE Review: Timeless

    https://telescopestobuy.com/celestron-nexstar-6se-review/
For serious astrophotography, you need long exposure times, such as 30-40 minutes. This is only possible with an automized equatorial mount. Celestron 6SE’s NexStar Mount is not an equatorial; it is an altazimuth.

Celestron NexStar 130 SLT Review: Frustration.

    https://telescopestobuy.com/celestron-nexstar-130-slt-review-frustration/
No. Serious astrophotography is not possible with Celestron NexStar 130 SLT. The problem is the altazimuth nature of the mount. It moves in an up-down motion. For long-exposure astrophotography, you need an equatorial mount. Such mounts are ridiculously expensive.

Celestron NexStar 4SE Telescope Review - Is It Any Good?

    https://americaneclipseusa.com/telescopes/celestron-nexstar-4se-review/
Aperture: 102 mm (4”) Focal Length: 1325 mm. Focal Ratio: f/13. Eyepieces Included: 25 mm. Our Verdict: The NexStar 4SE is a fantastic telescope under $500. Its optical design allows for multiple benefits, and since it comes with a GoTo mount, locating and identifying objects will be easy and interesting for new astronomers. Check Amazon Price.

Nexstar 6SE or 4SE for Astrophotography - Stargazers Lounge

Newb here. I have settled on my first telescope being the 4SE or 6SE and I have a Sony Alpha 300 DSLR I would like to be able to connect to play around with AP. I am barely starting to grasp the terminology involved with telescopes in general but it seems connecting a camera to a telescope is a w...

Celestron NexStar 8SE Review (Is This Telescope Any Good?)

    https://americaneclipseusa.com/telescopes/celestron-nexstar-8se-review/
The Celestron NexStar 8SE is a great buy for the money if you want to travel, dabble in short exposure astro imaging, and you want a close-up of DSOs and local bodies. The extra 2” of aperture is worth the money as more light grasp equals brighter images and better resolution on the faintest DSOs – not unlike an 8” Dobsonian.

Celestron NexStar 5SE Review: Incomplete Perfection

    https://telescopestobuy.com/celestron-nexstar-5se-review-worth-praise/
Review. If Celestron NexStar 5SE were priced slightly lower, it would be an excellent choice. But it is 700$. At this price range, you can probably find a Z12, which would be almost 6x more powerful. So, optical power is not what you are paying for; it is the sturdy mount, portability, and GoTo features.

HEQ5 or GEM28/CEM26 (looking for mount recommendations) Hello everyone, I’ve recently gotten to the point where I’d like to advance into using larger scopes for astrophotography, and thus am in need of a higher weight limit mount. Over the past year, the iOptron Skyguider Pro has been my primary mount. Having had a good experience with ...
