Post-mortem photographs are images taken of people after death. Memorial and post-mortem photography was common from the birth of the daguerreotype in 1839 to the 1930s. Memento Mortem Photography In viewing my photographs, I hope you interpret meaning for yourself and take what you need from it. I hope that it helps heal you in some way, or helps open your eyes to a different perspective. I photograph the macabre and unsettling because in those darker parts of art is where deeper introspection can occur.
