- This is the Kodak Instamatic 500 made by Kodak AG in Germany in the years 1963-1965. It has a four element Schneider Xenar 2.8/38mm zone focusing lens, a Compur shutter and a Gossen light meter. It even has a hot shoe for external flash. A beautiful and solid make of a camera. Everything seems to work, but its not tested with film yet.

It was designed by Alexander Gow with styling by Sir Kenneth Grange who is also the designer for the Kodak Vecta, Brownie 44A and 44B, and the Instamatic 25. It uses 126 cartridge film producing 26.5 x 26.5mm square frames, 24 per cartridge. They we manufactured in England, Germany and Spain.
