If a subject says “yes” go ahead and snap away! But if the person …

Is Street Photography Ethical? | Contrastly

    https://contrastly.com/is-street-photography-ethical/
While street photography is not unethical in and of itself, the issues and the publics’ concerns on street photography should be taken seriously by photographers. The Street Photography Code of Ethics - ERIC KIM

    https://erickimphotography.com/blog/the-street-photography-code-of-ethics/
For me, ethics is being able to look at yourself in the mirror and be able to sleep at night. To be “ethical” is to not treat others how you don’t want to be treated. I know a lot of street photographers who don’t like having their own photograph taken.

The Law and Ethics of Street Photography

    https://www.dostreetphotography.com/blog/law-and-ethics
There will always be some street photographers out there who give street photography a bad name. The ones who argue that it's legal regardless of how upset someone feels, and the ones who stick a camera into someone's face to capture a shocked or angry or unflattering expression without a second thought to another human being's feelings...

Is street photography ethical? - reddit

I think there are certain kinds of street photography I would consider unethical. Ie. taking pictures of people at their lowest points, homeless people, people crying, etc. I just think that someone should be able to give consent to being photographed in positions like that.
