- AF works great even in dimmer light providing you have a fast enough lens (f2.8-f4). I shoot with a Sigma 120-300 f2.8 OS HSM. It works fine for me and I have shot up to 6400 ISO (1/800 f2.8) with perfectly usable results. Been shooting sports since early 1990's. Whatever the lighting may be I shoot on full manual.
