- I was born January 11, 1912. I have been a long time member of St. James' Episcopal Church in and the church is a big part of my life, as it always has been. I live in the Houston assisted living center. I was the first African American child baptized at St. Clements' Episcopal Church by Bishop Clinton Quin in 1923.
