    The lens worked great as an all-around lens. Although I only experimented with the macro and flat-field capabilities of the lens, it worked great. So, for a copy stand, I'd like to suggest the FD 50mm f3.5 lens, with a suitable adapter. It should be a dirt-cheap, manual-focus solution for flat copy work.

    With a copy stand you control your dpi by the hight on the camera, the lower the camera the higher the dpi (thus the previous suggestion of a macro lens). Like I said at work all photographs go on the scanner, and the copy stands are mainly used for books. If a scanner will produce better IQ maybe I should do that instead.
