- The C5 is also more finicky than a camera lens for sure. As with any SCT it takes better photos when it is at ambient temperature. You can’t take it out of a warm house into the cold night air and expect good results. If you can set it up an hour early or leave it for a bit in a garage or trunk (especially when it’s cold outside) that helps.
