- On my EOS 5D Mark III and my 6D I know I can comfortably shoot to ISO 6400 with acceptable noise. It’s always better to have a little noise rather than a blurry or underexposed photo. Set your aperture wide open, depending on the lens you are using. I shoot mostly with Canon L-series zooms where f/2.8 is my limit.
