- High ISO performance is definitely better (about 2/3 to 1 stop) as long as you don't have to crop much (shooting with an equivalent FOV to the Mark IV). If you have to crop, the ISO advantage goes away quickly. The lower pixel density of the 5D III is another Achilles' heel if you do a lot of cropping. But the 5D III is still an excellent camera.
