    Bill Taub Taub was head photographer at NASA from the time the agency got its start in 1958. Charged with documenting NASA’s work for publicity and posterity, he was one of the last people to see the astronauts before liftoff, earning the nickname “Two More Taub” for his insistence, always, on snapping just a couple more shots.

    My father, William Paul Taub (Bill), was the first Senior NASA photographer. Through his technical and artistic skills, he captured the crowning major aeronautics and space flight achievements during his employment beginning in 1942 at NACA, Langley Field, VA to his retirement in 1975 from NASA Headquarters in Washington, DC.
