Celestron C6a for astrophotography - Cats & Casses - Cloudy Nights

    https://www.cloudynights.com/topic/814959-celestron-c6a-for-astrophotography/
Celestron C6a for astrophotography - posted in Cats & Casses: What is the concensus on using a Celestron C6a with a .63 reducer and an ASI533MC Pro on a Eqm-35 mount for astrophotography? I seem to remember seeing somewhere that the C6 was more of a visual scope but cannot find the reference now.

Review: Celestron C6 Schmidt-Cassegrain – AstroGear …

    https://astrogeartoday.com/review-celestron-c6-schmidt-cassegrain/
Available as a bare optical tube assembly or packaged with a variety of computerized mounts, the Celestron C6 Schmidt-Cassegrain (MSRP: $459.95) fills the gap between its 5 and 8-inch brothers. A 150mm, f/10 system, the telescope weighs just 8.6 pounds with a 6×30 finder and star diagonal attached.

Celestron has introduced a new model to its Schmidt-Cassegrain line of telescopes — the C6, and it's Celestron's most portable one yet. This scope offers a 6-inch aperture and operates at f/10....

What camera to use with the Celestron C6 for AP?: …

The C6 will take the photos. The question is whether you mount is up to the gnat's a*s tracking that is necessary with that kind of focal length. Focal reducer will help a lot and will widen the filed of view, field of capture so tracking errors will be reduced somewhat.

Celestron C6 - Discussions - Scopes / Whole setups

The C6 would just be a small incremental improvement over the C6 in terms of light gathering and resolution. The main argument for the C6 is it is the biggest aperture you can put on an AZ-GTi. Though I do not own either the Skymax 127 or the AZ-GTI I too find there is a "...small incremental improvement..."

C8 vs C6 for DSO astrophotography - TheSkySearchers.com

    https://www.theskysearchers.com/viewtopic.php?t=8548
I have been looking at telescopes and mounts for deep sky astrophotography, and for my budget, I have found two good deals: C8 SCT f/ 10 and C6 SCT f/ 10 (C8 is 500$ more expensive) mount: advanced VX (possibly a CGEM / CGEM II/EQ6 if possible) guide camera: QHY5L-II monochrome. imaging camera: Pentax k100D (will upgrade into ASI 294MC pro)

Celestron C6-N Review

    http://www.derbyastronomy.org/CelestronC6NReview.htm
The C6-N is a 6” diameter, 750mm focal length Newtonian (f/5). It is a very simple design, the light being collected by a parabolic mirror and brought to focus just outside the side of the optical tube by means of a 45deg flat secondary mirror. The resulting image is then magnified by whatever eyepiece you want to use.

Celestron C6-N DSLR focus - AstroBin

Celestron C6-N DSLR focus. 2.71. mousta. # 5/9/2020. I have used my Celestron C6-N with an Advanced VX mount and T3i DSLR to take my first few shots. I think they turned out decent, however I always feel that the focus isn't right. I read multiple articles about focus problems with Newtonian telescopes and DSLRs.

Celestron C6-A XLT Telescope - CHUCKHAWKS.COM

    https://www.chuckhawks.com/celestron_C6.htm
More recently, the C6 (5.9" SCT) and the C9 (9.25" SCT) models were added to the line. The C6 is an especially interesting addition to the Celestron SCT line. It offers almost 1/3 more light grasp than the C5's 319x, yet remains a very compact optical tube assembly. The C6 weighs only about 2-1/2 pounds more and is three inches longer than a C5.

C6 Optical Tube Assembly (CG-5 Dovetail) | Celestron

    https://www.celestron.com/products/c6-optical-tube-assembly-cg-5-dovetail
The Celestron C6-A OTA is a great multi-use optical tube with a 1500 mm focal length and a focal ratio of f/10. It offers 40% more light gathering than a 5” Cassegrain telescope. The Celestron C6-A features Celestron’s patented StarBright® XLT optical coatings, which visibly increase contrast and light transmission for brighter deep space images and shorter exposure times.
