The C3 is more versatile than you would think at first glance; the lenses are actually interchangable and you could realistically build a kit around the Brick. A manual I have outlines the use of a telephoto lens (100mm), wide angle lens (35mm), and the Argus Variable Power Viewfinder, which views in 35mm, 50mm, and 100mm with built-in parallax ...

Photos taken with my 1953 Argus C3, affectionately known as "The Brick" due to its heft and shape. It takes brilliant photos. This camera is a genius. It's my favorite. Footnote: My original, beloved Argus C3 broke in January 2013 while we were on a trip to Florida. Maybe sand, maybe humidity, not sure the cause--But the shutter gave up the ghost after giving me 6 …

The Argus C3 is one of my favorite 35mm cameras. It was the first completely manual camera I ever had (I got my first C3 around 2007). And it's the only camera so far that I can actually fix myself and put back together! It's so simple and reliable. If the focus in your pictures is off, you probably need to align the rangefinder.
