- Some of my favourite photographers have or still do shoot panoramic film cameras (i.e. 617 format). These include Mark Gray and Ken Duncan. I love looking at panoramic images and the advantage of a format such as this is that you can compose and see exactly what you want using the viewfinder on the camera. Thes…

- Building a point and shoot 6×17 camera: the TwoFourths DIY camera kit. In 2016 I decided to back the TwoFourths DIY 617 Kickstarter project, paying about $185 for a kit that would let me use two lenses on the wood and plastic 6×17 format camera. I saw this as a point and shoot camera, requiring less effort than my 4×5 and 8×10, and much ...

- Upgrading Fotoman 617 Panoramic Camera. Fotoman 617 offers great flexibility and affordability, relative to other 617 makers. There are many great lenses out there that may well suit the 617 film format and these can be purchased, new or used for much less than a Linhof Technorama, Horseman SW617pro or a Fuji GX617 lens-cone assembly.
617 Panoramic camera concept. Gethering opinions.

- Hello, comrades! Panoramic photography is my hobby, I use 6x17sm Chinese noname (Gaoersi/DaYi mix) film camera with 90mm Fuji lens. I not satisfied with the design of existing panoramic cameras. Scale-focusing cameras (Fuji GX617, Linhof Technorama, Horseman 617...) has huge, expensive lens cones, and they are restricted by focal length.

- Apr 15, 2006. #4. Fotoman is offering a 6x24cm camera. Canham makes a 6x17 back for 5x7" cameras. The 6x17 backs for 4x5" cameras are handy things and are very affordable. Unless you're planning to shoot a LOT of 6x17, a 4x5" camera with a 6x17 back is a much more versatile tool.
Perfect Lens for a 617 with Movements??? [Archive] - Large …

- Hi Folks, I’m in the process of very slowly designing a custom 6x17cm camera with bellows for movements. 120 is much easier to work with and costs a lot less than a 5x7 crop, and my camera design is significantly smaller than a LF camera. Most of the 617 cameras on the market and ones that are custom built typically have a fixed lens, or a lens board that shifts.
