- Not bad for sport and bird photography on the budget. If you are serious, go for a 1dmarkII or 1dmarkIII. Pixel density means nothing if you can't nail the focus. Although a 1d body can retain AF even at F8, I don't recommend using your 100-400 with a converter. The lost of IQ would be too much. Instead, I would recommend 400L F5.6 + converter.
